SpiceJet Delhi-Pune Flight Turns Chaotic After AC Failure, Passengers Protest
SpiceJet passengers on a Delhi-Pune flight protested after an AC failure left the cabin hot and humid. Expectant mothers faced distress, while passengers refused takeoff, were deboarded and later took an alternative flight.
The incident occurred on the Delhi-Pune flight after passengers boarded the aircraft and found that the air conditioning was not functioning. The rising heat and humidity inside the cabin caused distress among passengers, including expectant mothers who faced the risk of collapse.
Passengers protested and refused to allow the flight to take off until the aircraft returned to the gate. A technical fault was subsequently confirmed, following which passengers were deboarded from the aircraft.
After leaving the plane, passengers staged a sit-in at the airport as the disruption continued. Many passengers later boarded an alternative flight that night to reach Pune.
